Presented by the IBDAW Dance Team of the Emeel Academy.
Based on Daniil Kharms’ absurdist play and brought to life through the vision of Emeel Safie, our performance revives Elizaveta Bam with dance and playful spirit.
While the original play explores fear and uncertainty under authority, we expand the story — with new scenarios and movements that reflect its central themes.
In our version, we are all Elizaveta, trapped in a world where control is unpredictable — and yet, we continue to play.
My Dancers learn to:
1- Help Each Other Flow.
2- Practice Mindful Movement.
3- Communicate ideas with clarity.
"IBDAW" is pronounced "Ibdaa"
🟢 Public Definition: I Breathe. Dance. All Ways.
🔒 Practitioner Definition: A precise framework known only to those who walk the inner path of the method.
IBDAW is more than just a dance style—it's a pathway to the stage. While it draws from ballet, modern, and contemporary techniques—basic positions, rolling, jumping, shifting, lifting, partnering, off-balance control, flow, and more—its true purpose is revealed in performance.
What makes it unique is how we apply the Weight Philosophy. This philosophy trains dancers not just to move, but to solve movement problems efficiently, sharpen movement, refine their technique, remove unnecessary effort, achieve flow faster. This mastery of movement allows IBDAW dancers to perform with the confidence and precision of professionals, even if it's their first time on stage.
IBDAW is a stage dance form with a clear focus on intention, expression, and storytelling. Through this method, I don’t just train dancers in movement—I train them to perform with purpose. In IBDAW, my dancers don’t just execute choreography; they become the idea, ensuring that every movement serves the story and every performance reaches professional standards.
In summary:
IBDAW is a storytelling dance form designed for professional stage productions with dedicated IBDAW dancers. Developed by me (Emeel Safie) over a decade (2014–2024), it applies the Safie Weight Philosophy to grasp an idea, embody it, and share it with clarity to audiences worldwide.
• What if your dance could become the voice for your ideas and deepest emotions?
• Can stepping out of your comfort zone enhance not just your skills, but also to redefine your dance journey?
• How would it feel to take the stage and create a deep connection with your audience?
• Can the joy of turning the studio into a playground of creativity become your new current routine?
• Danced in DTV or TAF competitions and now craving a fresh team dynamic.
If you felt connected to one or more of these questions, then IBDAW sessions are designed for you.
