Because creation is never neutral, each film invites meaningful dance to shape our experience.
At IBDAW Films, we invite audiences (dancers and non-dancers) connect more deeply to dance, without losing the art of dance, through the Playing State Philosophy.

What is IBDAW Dance?
IBDAW is not a dance style. It is a system - a stage between the abstract and the concrete. It uses any movement and belongs to no single style to serve the idea.
Thank you for watching.

With great joy, we’d like to share that our dance film “No More Wars” has been selected for a mixed short film festival in Frankfurt!
🕒 Time of screening our film: Between 18:00 - 19:30
📍Location: Haus am Dom - Frankfurt am Main
It’s a diverse film program featuring works by German and Arabic directors – and we’ll be the only dance film among many exciting short films.
We would be so happy if you could share this special moment with us – feel free to bring your loved ones. Let’s experience and celebrate art together.
Hope to see you soon – let’s meet at the cinema!
IBDAW is not a dance style. It is a dance creation system - a stage between the abstract and the concrete.
Pronounced "Ibdaa", IBDAW is rooted in the Playing State Philosophy and uses any movement necessary and belongs to no single form. Contemporary, modern, and ballet techniques train the body, but they do not define the system.
IBDAW was created in 2012 out of a refusal to perform movement without meaning. In IBDAW, movement exists only if it serves the idea. If it does not, it is removed.
IBDAW is a playground for dancers, not a factory - a space for co-creation, inquiry, and clarity. What matters is to question, to feel, and to translate ideas into physical form.
Screen IBDAW Films:
"🎥 Benefits of Screening an IBDAW Dance Film"
1- Show how dance lives beyond the stage
2- Add meaningful short films to your lineup
3- Offer your audience a rare blend of dance, cinema, and philosophy

Let’s Move, Flow, Spread Dance-Together
My participants experience:
1- Letting go of stage habits
2- Embodying concrete ideas into clear movement
3- Transforming raw movement into cinematic language
Invite me to your dance school, studio, or community to create a custom short dance film with your dancers.
I’ll guide the creative process—sharing a glimpse of my philosophy, teaching a few key elements, and directing both movement and filming.
In the end, you will receive a 1–3 minute film featuring your dancers.
Please note: The first film is paid as a donation to the Emeel-Academy.
Each film has a fixed price depending on the project.
If you qualify for a discount, the reduced amount becomes your donation.
All donations go directly towards IBDAW dance projects: video productions, theater shows, costumes, and dance event preparations.
